Spring Break Breaks Momentum

I entered today with many distractions from spring break, which is a lousy thing to put in the middle of a semester. Besides that inertia, I have struggled to figure out what I think of participatory planning. My field project team is investigating it in a haphazard way, and I honestly don't know how I feel about the appropriate level of public involvement in the planning process. On the one hand, I want it to be maximal because there are a lot of good ideas and priceless knowledge out there. Unfortunately we are just learning how to effectively garner that data, and the software we are trying to use to do so is woefully inaccurate. Most of my ambition and work right now centers on advocating project with great software. As I proceed with various projects, I will document the experience here. For now I need to see who is in that business and find myself an internship.
